Barcelona Guest Lists Explained: Free Entry, Rules, and How to Sign Up

Most Barcelona clubs charge 15€-30€ at the door to let you enter. A guest list lets you skip that, either with free entry or a discount, depending on the club and the night. Here is exactly how it works.
What is a guest list?
A guest list gives you free entry (or a discount) before a specific cutoff time. That is it. It is not a VIP pass, a ticket, or a reservation. You are just on a list that the club checks at the door.
Some clubs require a confirmation email and some don’t. We always send you a confirmation email when you sign up to any Barceloning guest list.
Barceloning partners with 15+ venues across the city. You sign up, get a confirmation, and show up before the cutoff.
Being on the list does not guarantee entry. Dress code, timing, and venue discretion still apply. If you show up late, dressed wrong, or in a group that the door does not like, you pay full price like everyone else.
💡 Remember: Being on the guest list does not guarantee entry. You still need to follow the dress code, arrive on time and respect the venue’s rules.
How to sign up
- Check out the Barceloning free guest lists.
- Pick a party and fill in your name, email, and group size. No account needed. Takes about 30 seconds.
- Receive a confirmation email with your information on it.
- At the club door, say you are on the Barceloning guest list and show your confirmation email.
- Enter before the cutoff time.
What does the guest list get you?
It depends on the club and the night.
In general, a guest list either lets you enter completely for free, or enter with a discount on the entry fee (which is usually between 12 and 20€ depending on the club and night of the week).
It’s impossible to guarantee the conditions long before the party starts but in general, these are the clubs that offer free entry:
- Sutton
- Opium
- Shoko
- La Fira Villarroel
- La Fira Casanova
- Jamboree
- Downtown
- Costa Breve
- La Biblio
- Otto Zutz
- Colors
- Input
💡 Remember: the guest list conditions might change any minute before the party starts. You might sign up to a free guest list a week before the party but a few days after that, the club might change the condition. This is completely out of our hands.
Always check the conditions a couple of hours before going to the party.
Guest list vs tickets vs VIP
- Guest list: free or discounted entry before a cutoff. This is what most people use.
- Ticket: paid entry you buy in advance. Some clubs like Input sell through Xceed. You pay upfront, you are in. There is no cutoff to worry about.
- VIP: table reservation, bottle service, minimum spend, skip the line. Different product entirely. For groups celebrating or wanting a premium experience. Not the same as a guest list.

What can go wrong?
- Late arrival: Cutoff times are real. Arrive after and you pay full price. Expect lines. Plan to arrive 30 minutes before the cutoff.
- Dress code violation: You get denied even with a guest list.
- All-male group: Extra scrutiny at the door. Mixed groups have an easier time.
- No valid ID: Physical photo ID required. No ID, no entry.
- Special events: Halloween, NYE, famous DJ nights. Conditions may change without notice. Always check the club page for that specific date.
Final tips
- Arrive 20-40 minutes before the cutoff. Do not cut it close. Sometimes, you have to stand in a line for 20 to 40 minutes. Make sure you take that into account.
- Follow the dress code for that specific club. (check out the links in the next section to read more about dress code requirements at different clubs)
- Bring a valid physical photo ID if you look too young to prove you meet the minimum age requirement.
- Don’t show up with a big group of dudes. Mixed groups have an easier time at the door.
- Benefits vary by night and by club. Check the specific club page before you sign up and also a couple of hours before the party starts.
