Free Entry at Sutton Barcelona: Guest List Guide

Sutton is one of Barcelona’s most upscale clubs – commercial music, well-dressed crowd, and the strictest dress code in the city. The Sutton Barcelona guest list gets you in for free every night they are open. The catch: if you do not follow the dress code, being on the list will not save you.
What is a guest list?
A guest list gives you free entry before a cutoff time. That is it. It does not guarantee entry. Sutton’s door is the strictest in Barcelona – bouncers will turn you away if you are not dressed right, list or no list.
For a full breakdown of how guest lists work across Barcelona clubs, see our dedicated blog: Barcelona Guest Lists Explained: Free Entry, Rules, and How to Sign Up
How to sign up with Barceloning
- Go to the Sutton page
- Select the night you want
- Enter your name, email, and group size – takes about 30 seconds, no account needed
- You get a confirmation email
- Show up at the door, mention Barceloning guest list, and enter before the cutoff
Sutton Barcelona guest list: schedule by night
These are the current guest list conditions:
- Wednesdays: free entry until 1:30 – 18+ – dress code casual (Erasmus night)
- Thursdays: free entry until 1:00 – 21+ – dress code smart casual (shirt not mandatory)
- Fridays: free entry until 1:00 – 23+ – dress code strict (shirt mandatory for men)
- Saturdays: free entry 1:00 – 23+ – dress code strict (shirt mandatory for men)
Wednesday is Erasmus night – most relaxed dress code, youngest age limit (18+). Friday and Saturday are the strictest door in Barcelona. If you are under 23, Wednesday or Thursday are your only options.
Sutton dress code
This is the part that gets people turned away. Do not skip it.
Men on Friday and Saturday:
- Collared shirt mandatory – no exceptions
- Nice shoes. Dark, clean shoes are the safest. Clean fashionable sneakers may work, but dress shoes are safer
- Long trousers, well-fitted
- No sportswear, caps, shorts, flip-flops, ripped jeans, or hoodies
Men on Wednesday and Thursday:
- More relaxed. Shirt not mandatory. A clean fitted t-shirt works
- Still no shorts, flip-flops, or sportswear
Women:
- Elegant. More flexible than men but still party-ready
Skip the line on weekends
Weekend lines at Sutton get long. Even well-dressed guests can be turned away once the club hits capacity.
You can skip the line on Friday and Saturday by messaging Barceloning on WhatsApp: +34 601 56 32 19
Tips for getting in
- Arrive 15 minutes before cutoff midweek, 30+ minutes on weekends
- Dress code is the #1 rejection reason – do not test it
- Mixed groups have an easier time than all-male groups
- Bring valid photo ID. Check the age limit for your night: 18 Wed, 21 Thu, 23 Fri/Sat
Wednesday is the most accessible night – 18+, casual dress, Erasmus crowd
Missed the cutoff?
Door price is around 20€ with a drink. VIP tables are available – contact Barceloning for details.
Clubs with a less strict dress code
If Sutton feels too strict, these venues are more forgiving:
- Shoko: beachfront, 18+, smart casual
- Opium: beachfront, 18+, smart casual
- La Fira Villarroel: very relaxed dress code in the city
- La Fira Casanova: very relaxed dress code in the city
- Jamboree: Gothic Quarter, casual but not sloppy
