La Fira Barcelona: Dress Code for Men and Women

La Fira has the most relaxed dress code of any major club in Barcelona. A clean t-shirt and jeans is enough no collared shirt, no dress shoes, no performance.

The same policy applies at both locations: Villarroel and Casanova.

Here is what you need to know.

La Fira dress code for men

La Fira is the most casual of the bigger clubs in the city. The door is real, but the bar is low.

What works:

  • Clean t-shirt and jeans
  • Casual shirt (no collar needed)
  • Clean leather sneakers or casual trainers in good condition
  • Most clean, put-together casual looks

What will get you turned away:

  • Flip-flops or beach sandals
  • Beachwear
  • Gym clothes or sportswear
  • Visibly dirty or worn-out trainers

La Fira is not filtering for style it is filtering for basic presentation. If you look like you came from the beach or the gym, you will not get in. Everything else is generally fine.

La Fira dress code for women

Even more relaxed than most Barcelona clubs. Casual party wear, jeans and a top, a simple dress all work without issue.

What works:

  • Casual dresses, jeans and a top, shorts and a nice top
  • Clean sneakers, flat sandals, heels all accepted
  • Relaxed, comfortable outfits

What will get you turned away:

  • Beachwear
  • Gym clothes
  • Flip-flops

Can you wear sneakers to La Fira?

Yes and La Fira is one of the few clubs in Barcelona where even casual sneakers tend to work. Clean leather sneakers are fine. Most clean trainers in reasonable condition will pass.

Running shoes and visibly dirty trainers are still best avoided, but this is one of the most forgiving doors in the city for footwear.

Villarroel vs Casanova does the dress code differ?

  • La Fira Villarroel: free entry until 1:30 – discount until 2:00
  • La Fira Casanova: free entry until 1:00 – discount until 1:30

If your group is running late, Villarroel gives you an extra 30 minutes on the free entry window.

Age limit

Both locations are 18+. Bring a valid photo ID.

Guest list and entry

La Fira is on the Barceloning guest list at both locations. Free entry until the cutoff, then a 3€ discount until the closing time.

Without a guest list: 15–20€ with a drink.

The guest list does not override the door policy even here, showing up in gym clothes or flip-flops means you will be turned away.

What happens if you do not follow the dress code?

La Fira’s door is relaxed, but it is not non-existent. Beachwear, flip-flops, and gym clothes are still rejected. Being on the guest list does not change that.

There is no negotiation at the door. If you are unsure, err toward clean and casual rather than sloppy.
