Ku Barcelona: Dress Code for Men and Women

Ku Barcelona (previously known as Pacha) is a beachfront club on the Olympic Port with a moderate dress code. No collared shirt required, but clean and neat is a real standard here. Here is what men and women need to wear to get in.

Ku Barcelona dress code for men

The door at Ku is moderate similar to Opium or Downtown. Perhaps smarter than La Fira, and a lot less strict than Sutton. A clean t-shirt and jeans works. Footwear is checked.

What works:

  • Fitted t-shirt or casual shirt
  • Clean jeans or chinos
  • Clean leather sneakers, fashion trainers in good condition, boots, or shoes

What will get you turned away:

  • Sportswear or athletic wear
  • Running shoes or basketball trainers
  • Cargo pants, shorts, or baggy cuts
  • Caps or baseball hats
  • Flip-flops or sandals
  • Hoodies or sweatpants
  • Dirty or worn-out footwear

The door is stricter on Friday and Saturday than on weekdays. If you are going on Thursday, you have slightly more flexibility.

Ku Barcelona dress code for women

Party-ready casual is the standard. Women have more flexibility at the door than men, but beachwear, gym clothes, and flip-flops are still rejected.

What works:

  • Dresses, fitted tops, coordinated sets
  • Jeans and a smart-casual top
  • Heels, boots, clean fashion sneakers, stylish flats

What will get you turned away:

  • Gym clothes or sportswear
  • Beachwear or bikini cover-ups
  • Flip-flops or beach sandals

Can you wear sneakers to Ku Barcelona?

Yes, clean, fashionable sneakers are accepted. Footwear is one of the main filters at the door, so the condition of the shoe matters. Leather sneakers or clean fashion trainers in good shape work fine. Running shoes, basketball shoes, or visibly worn-out trainers risk rejection.

A pair of clean leather sneakers is the safe choice at moderate-tier beachfront clubs in Barcelona.

Ku vs Pacha the same venue

If you are searching for the Pacha Barcelona dress code, you are in the right place. The venue at Pg. Marítim de la Barceloneta, 38 was previously operated as Pacha and has since been rebranded as Ku.

Same location, same beachfront position next to Shoko and Opium. The dress code standard has stayed consistent.

Music at Ku Barcelona

The music depends on the night. Most nights feature commercial music, reggaeton, and an electronic room. The lineup changes check the events page before you go, especially on Sundays when big DJs can change the vibe and the entry conditions.

Age limit

Ku Barcelona is 18+. Bring a valid photo ID.

Guest list and entry

Ku has some of the best guest list terms on the Barceloning network free entry Monday to Thursday.

  • Monday to Thursday: Free entry until 01:00
  • Friday: Discount until 01:00
  • Saturday: Discount until 01:00
  • Sunday: Depends on DJ

Without a guest list: 15–20€ with a drink.

Summer note: In summer, Barceloning’s free weekday entry is often replaced by a discount the same change that happens at Opium and Shoko. Check current conditions before heading out.

Sunday note: If there is a special DJ on, the guest list conditions on Sunday may not apply. Always check before going on a Sunday.

Being on the guest list does not override the dress code. The bouncers check your look before the list is consulted.

What happens if you do not follow the dress code?

You will be turned away. No negotiation, no manager call, no exception for being on the guest list.

Large all-male groups get more scrutiny at the door. Mixed groups have an easier time. If one person in your group is dressed too casually, that can hold the whole group back at the door.
